The plot of the game tells about a small white animal, which turned out from an ordinary leaf that fell from a branch of the Tree of Spirits. As a result, a small animal named Ori was picked up by a local inhabitant of Naru, who decided to raise a real hero out of him. But one day something happens – the Tree of Spirits suddenly loses all its strength and ceases to feed the forest with its energy, Naru dies, while Ori decides to go to the tree and find out what happened. But he hardly approaches the tree when he also begins to die. The tree gives him its last energy and sends him on a journey in which Ori must do everything possible to save the forest and the Spirit Tree itself.
